AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE TO THE CASPER COMMUNITY

Casper Buzz’s Facebook presence has been suspended, and we are currently working to appeal the decision.

We have also experienced what appears to be repeated or coordinated reporting of our content. We do not yet know who is responsible, and we will not publicly accuse anyone without evidence. What we do know is that Casper Buzz is a legitimate local media organization, our information is reviewed for accuracy, and our mission is to serve this community.

We apologize for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, Meta’s review process is largely automated, and we have been unable to reach a person who can clearly explain the suspension or properly review our account.

But we want to make one thing absolutely clear:

CASPER BUZZ IS NOT GOING ANYWHERE.

We built Casper Buzz because we believe local news should serve the people—not treat the community as a collection of clicks, advertising statistics, or sales leads.

News should help people understand what is happening around them. It should provide the information they need to make educated decisions about their community, local government, businesses, finances, families, and future.

That is what we are working to restore.

Casper Buzz was built through personal sacrifice, hard work, and the combined effort of a team that believes Casper deserves something better. Our platform is supported directly by the people who use it. Your subscriptions help us employ local staff, put reporters on the ground, improve the platform, promote Casper beyond our city limits, and continue building resources that drive attention and money back into our community.

Our business model is different—and intentionally so.

We are not interested in manufacturing outrage, misleading people, or creating popularity contests designed primarily to increase traffic and sell more advertising. We want to build a trustworthy community platform that highlights local businesses, events, people, organizations, and the positive work happening throughout Casper.

Yes, we sometimes use artificial intelligence to help create graphics and streamline production—just as organizations across nearly every industry now do. But the information we publish is still reviewed by our team. AI is a tool; it is not a substitute for accuracy, responsibility, or human judgment.

If our Facebook page disappears temporarily, please understand that this is outside our immediate control. Losing access to one social media platform will not end Casper Buzz. It will strengthen our resolve to build media and communication channels that cannot be taken away from this community by an automated decision. Casper is an extraordinary place. Some families have been here for generations. Others arrived from across the country, discovered something special, and chose to make Wyoming their home. Together, we share a responsibility to protect what makes this community strong and to leave it better than we found it.

Casper Buzz is here to help do exactly that.

The platform is built. The model is working. Our vision is growing, and we have major plans for Casper and the state of Wyoming.
