orget the usual Saturday plans. On November 7, The Hangar in Bar Nunn is trading an ordinary afternoon for something a little louder, a little more colorful, and decidedly more creative. Tattoo machines will be buzzing, artists will be working, microphones will be live, and the stage will welcome an evening of comedy and music. It's all part of the Central Wyoming Tattoo Rodeo, a 12-hour celebration bringing different corners of the regional creative scene together.

Running from noon until midnight, the event is presented by Laughing Hyena Productions, The Hangar, and Wicked Fast Skincare. But calling it simply a tattoo event would only tell part of the story. The Tattoo Rodeo is designed as a meeting place for people who express themselves through ink, paint, sound, performance, and everything in between.

The Day Starts With Ink and Imagination

The tattoo stations will be among the main attractions, with participating studios including Lost Souls Tattoo Company, Pain For Sale, and Namesake Tattoo Collective. Visitors can watch artists at work, explore different styles, and connect with tattoo professionals throughout the day.

For anyone considering a new piece of ink, the event offers an opportunity to meet participating artists in person. Live tattooing will be available throughout the festival, with services restricted to guests ages 18 and older who present valid identification.

But not all the art will be created on skin.

The Art Fusion experience brings visual artists together for live collaborative work, allowing visitors to watch creativity unfold rather than simply admire a finished piece. Different artistic styles and approaches will share the same space, making the process itself part of the entertainment. It's a reminder that art isn't always something to stand back and look at. Sometimes, it's something worth watching happen.

A Podcast, a Paint Can, and Plenty of Stories

Keeping the energy moving throughout the day is spray paint artist and media personality Stevie Vanderheiden, who will serve as the event's host. He'll also bring the Three Wheel Bicycle Podcast directly to The Hangar for a live recording.

Instead of listening from behind a screen, visitors will get to experience conversations and artist interviews happening right on the festival floor. It's another way to bring the people behind the artwork into the spotlight, giving their stories a place alongside their creative work.

And because a full day of art deserves a little entertainment between the creative sessions, the festival has plenty more planned.

When the Sun Goes Down, the Stage Takes Over

As the afternoon moves into evening, the focus shifts toward live performance. Poor Don Haines is scheduled to bring stand-up comedy to the event, followed by musical performances from Etherfunk and Biskit.

The night will continue with a featured finale showcasing Tom Knowlton and Chad Lore. With comedy, music, and a live podcast all included in the lineup, the entertainment gives visitors plenty of reasons to stick around beyond the tattoo stations.

Food and drinks will also be available at The Hangar, while the festival's various activities offer opportunities to explore, meet local creatives, and discover something unexpected along the way.

More Than a Tattoo Event

What makes the Central Wyoming Tattoo Rodeo interesting is the mix of creative communities it brings together. Tattoo artists, painters, musicians, comedians, and independent creatives may work in very different ways, but they share something important: the desire to express an idea and connect with an audience.

Events like this give regional artists a chance to showcase their work beyond their usual spaces. They also allow visitors to discover creative talent that might otherwise go unnoticed. Whether someone comes for the tattoos, the music, the comedy, or simply the atmosphere, everyone gets a glimpse of the people contributing to the region's artistic culture.

There is also something refreshing about an event that doesn't ask visitors to choose just one kind of entertainment. You can spend part of the afternoon watching an artist work, catch a conversation on the podcast, explore the Art Fusion experience, and finish the evening with live music.

What to Know Before You Go

The Central Wyoming Tattoo Rodeo takes place Saturday, November 7, from noon to midnight at The Hangar, located at 1410 Prairie Lane in Bar Nunn.

Admission is $10 cash at the door. Organizers are also offering free entry to visitors who present valid out-of-town identification. Guests interested in getting tattooed must be at least 18 years old and present valid identification. Alcohol service is restricted to guests ages 21 and older with valid ID.

So whether you're a tattoo enthusiast, an art lover, a music fan, or someone simply looking for an unconventional Saturday experience, this is an opportunity to step into a different side of Central Wyoming's creative scene.

For one day, the art won't be confined to a gallery, the music won't be limited to a stage, and the stories won't stay behind a microphone. At The Hangar, they'll all share the same space.
