Casper Recreation Center Expands Its Hours as Fall Schedule Begins |
The seasonal change gives residents more time for recreation and activity. |

The Casper Recreation Center is transitioning to its Fall schedule today, bringing a new set of facility hours and regular recreational activities for Casper residents.
Beginning Monday, August 24, the Recreation Center will be open Monday through Thursday from 5:00 AM to 10:00 PM. The facility will also operate on a different schedule throughout the rest of the week, with Friday hours from 5:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Saturday from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and Sunday from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
The extended weekday hours give residents more flexibility when planning time for exercise, recreation, and other activities. Early-morning visitors can start their day at the facility, while the 10 PM closing time Monday through Thursday gives those with evening schedules additional time to use the center.
The change also brings a variety of regular drop-in activities back into the seasonal schedule.
Pickleball, for example, is scheduled on Monday and Wednesday mornings from 8:00 to 11:00 AM, with an additional Monday and Wednesday session from 3:00 to 5:00 PM. Tuesday and Thursday pickleball runs from 8:00 to 11:00 AM, while Friday sessions are scheduled from 8:00 to 11:00 AM and 5:00 to 8:00 PM.
Basketball is scheduled Monday through Friday from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
With the seasonal schedule now beginning, residents who regularly use the Recreation Center may want to take note of the new hours before planning their next visit.
The change is also timely for people looking for more indoor recreation options as Casper moves toward the fall season. The longer weekday hours provide additional opportunities for residents to maintain active routines while accommodating different work, school, and family schedules.
For some, that may mean an early morning workout. For others, it could mean joining a drop-in activity during the day or taking advantage of the facility after work.
The Recreation Center's seasonal schedule provides options throughout the week, with hours adjusted according to the day.
Rather than simply marking the end of summer, the schedule change signals the beginning of another season of regular recreation at one of Casper's community facilities.
For residents who haven't checked the Recreation Center's schedule recently, August 24 is a good day to take another look and see how the new hours and activities fit into their routines.
As fall gets underway, Casper residents have another local place to stay active, participate in recreational activities, and connect with others in the community.
