Fall is a season for making memories, spending time with loved ones, and enjoying the simple pleasures of being part of a community. This Saturday, October 17, the Natrona County University of Wyoming Extension Office invites families to celebrate the season at the 6th Annual 4-H Pumpkin Fest, a day filled with autumn activities, local vendors, and opportunities to support youth development.

The festival runs from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Central Wyoming Fairgrounds Arena Building, located at 1700 Fairgrounds Road, Casper, Wyoming 82604. With activities planned for approximately 500 attendees, families can look forward to an afternoon of festive entertainment and hands-on experiences. Activities and supplies will be available while supplies last, so arriving early may help families make the most of their visit.

The 2026 Pumpkin Fest offers a variety of activities designed to bring the spirit of autumn to life. Children can try their hand at pumpkin carving, bounce through the pumpkin bounce activity, test their aim with pumpkin bowling and pumpkin ring toss, or get creative at the pumpkin craft booth. A fall photo booth will provide an opportunity to capture seasonal memories, while a scavenger hunt invites participants to explore and take part in the fun.

Families can also visit the live animal display and explore the pumpkin food and nutrition area, adding educational experiences to the day's entertainment. Together, these activities offer children and families opportunities to learn, create, play, and enjoy the season in a community setting.

An activity donation of $5 per child is requested to help support Natrona County 4-H programming. While families gather for fall fun, their contributions help sustain countywide opportunities that allow 4-H members to learn new skills, explore interests, and grow through hands-on experiences.

The festival will also feature local food and shopping options. WYO Philly Food Truck will be on-site serving food, giving visitors an option for lunch during their time at the fairgrounds.

Those looking to browse seasonal gifts and locally made products can visit the participating vendors: Wyoming Custom Cribbage, Sassy Soda Station, Micki Moose, Sassy Lil Soul, Cora’s Creations, Cocoa Batches, Viper Graphics by Steve, and Tinsel By Steph. With a variety of vendors gathered in one place, visitors can enjoy browsing while supporting local makers and small businesses.

At the heart of Pumpkin Fest is the work of the Natrona County 4-H program and the people who help make its activities possible. The event is supported by 4-H youth members, clubs, volunteers, the Fair Board, and community businesses that have contributed toward the cost of providing the festival's activities.

Natrona County 4-H offers countywide opportunities that help young people learn, develop practical skills, build confidence, and discover their interests. Proceeds from the festival will directly support these opportunities, allowing the celebration to contribute to the program's continued work with local youth.

For families, the event is an opportunity to enjoy a fall tradition while learning more about a program that encourages young people to participate, develop skills, and become involved in their communities. The combination of games, educational activities, food, and local shopping makes Pumpkin Fest a gathering where seasonal fun and community support come together.

Whether you're planning to carve a pumpkin, take a family photo, explore the vendor booths, or simply spend a fall day together, the 6th Annual 4-H Pumpkin Fest offers plenty of reasons to visit the fairgrounds. Families are encouraged to arrive ready to explore, keeping in mind that activities are planned for 500 attendees and supplies may run out.
