Love’s Travel Stop Opens in Casper, Bringing New Jobs, Truck Parking, and Travel Services to the Community |
The new Interstate 25 travel stop adds 52 truck parking spaces, creates 80 local jobs, and expands services for commercial drivers, RV travelers, and motorists moving through central Wyoming. |

A new travel stop has opened in Casper, bringing additional truck parking, fueling services, food options, and employment opportunities to Natrona County. Love’s Travel Stop, located near Interstate 25 at Exit 191, began welcoming customers on October 8, adding another resource for the commercial drivers and travelers who depend on Wyoming’s highways to move people and goods.
The opening comes as truck parking remains a nationwide challenge for the freight industry. Commercial drivers need safe, accessible places to stop between stretches of driving, refuel, and take required rest breaks. When parking is difficult to find, drivers can face added pressure to plan their routes around limited spaces and available services. By adding 52 free truck parking spaces for customers, the Casper location contributes to the broader effort to expand parking capacity across the country, although the overall shortage will require continued investment in transportation infrastructure.
The location is particularly relevant to Casper because Interstate 25 serves as an important route for commercial traffic moving through central Wyoming. Freight transportation connects businesses, suppliers, and customers across state lines, and reliable stops along these routes help drivers manage long journeys. The new facility brings several services together in one location, allowing truck drivers to fuel, weigh their vehicles, use shower and laundry facilities, and take a break before continuing their trips.
The 11,703-square-foot travel stop includes six diesel fueling bays, a CAT Scale, four showers, and laundry facilities. It also serves everyday motorists and recreational vehicle travelers with 57 car parking spaces, five back-in RV hookups, an RV dump station, bulk propane, and a fenced dog park. Love’s operates the location around the clock, seven days a week, giving travelers access to its services regardless of the hour they pass through the area.
Food options are another part of the facility. The travel stop includes Love’s Fresh Kitchen and an attached Hardee’s restaurant, which began operating on October 12. Having food, fuel, parking, and traveler amenities in one place gives customers more options to meet their needs without making multiple stops.
The opening also brings an employment boost to Natrona County. Love’s reports that the new location created 80 local jobs, adding employment opportunities connected to travel-stop operations and food service. The company’s Casper facility is its sixth travel stop in Wyoming and part of a national network that Love’s says now totals 682 stores across 42 states.
Looking ahead, the property also has designated space for potential electric vehicle chargers. Those chargers are not yet identified as operational, but reserving space for them leaves room for future expansion as vehicle technology and customer demand change.
Love’s is also marking the opening with a $10,000 charitable contribution. The company plans to distribute $2,500 to the Food Bank of Wyoming, $2,500 to Dress for Success Casper, and $5,000 to Children’s Hospital Colorado. The grants extend the opening’s impact beyond transportation services, supporting organizations involved in food assistance, employment-related support, and children’s health care.
A formal ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday, October 21, at 10 a.m., following the store’s opening earlier in the month. The event marks the arrival of a new business facility in the Casper area and highlights the range of services it brings to the region.
The new Love’s Travel Stop will not resolve every challenge facing truck drivers or the wider transportation system, but it adds practical capacity where travelers need it. More truck parking, additional fueling access, 24-hour amenities, and local jobs all contribute to the infrastructure that keeps freight and people moving. For Casper, the opening represents both a new service option for highway users and another investment in the local economy.
