Natrona County’s “Above & Below” Gala Honors Veterans and Supports Local Service Members
CASPER, Wyo. — On Friday, Oct. 10, 2025, at 5:30 p.m., the Natrona County Republican Women will host their “Above & Below” Gala at the Ramkota Hotel in Casper. The event raises funds to support two vital missions: providing direct aid to local military families and ensuring that every veteran laid to rest in Natrona County Cemetery’s is honored each December through Wreaths Across America.
The Local Mission: Above & Below
The “Above & Below” concept was developed by the Natrona County Republican Women as a way to recognize both the living and the fallen. “Above” represents support for current service members and their families—helping them with urgent needs that often go unseen. Over the years, this has included paying utility bills, providing gift cards, and creating a discreet “Giving Tree” at the armory, where service members could take what they needed during the holidays without having to ask for help.
“Below” reflects the group’s commitment to honoring veterans buried in cemeteries all across Natrona County. Each winter, during the Wreaths Across America ceremony, volunteers gather to place wreaths at every grave-site, ensuring that no veteran is forgotten and every name is spoken aloud. The funds raised through the gala guarantee that this tradition continues year after year.
A Community Effort With Deep Roots
The Natrona County Republican Women have been instrumental in bringing the Wreaths Across America tradition into the county, but their work goes beyond a single ceremony. By blending remembrance with immediate, tangible aid, the organization has built a foundation that directly impacts military families in Natrona County. Their mission is both practical and heartfelt: honor those who came before, and support those serving today.
