The There is something special about hearing live music outside. The setting changes the way a concert feels, the evening air, the open space, the people gathered around you and the music carrying across the night.

That atmosphere is coming to The Bloomery on Saturday, September 5, when The Riverside takes the stage for an evening of folk music. Located at 12260 Zero Road in Casper, The Bloomery will open its gates at 6 PM, with music beginning at 7 PM.

The evening will begin with Casper's own Olivia Wilson, giving local audiences an opportunity to hear a young Wyoming artist before The Riverside takes the stage. Wilson has been developing her voice as a singer-songwriter and brings her own perspective and style to the local music scene.

The Riverside will then bring its own blend of folk music to the evening, creating a concert experience centered around live instrumentation and vocal harmonies. The Southern California group has been making music together since 2012 and has built a following through performances across the country.

For Casper, having a touring group like The Riverside perform at a setting such as The Bloomery offers something different from a typical night at a concert venue. The focus can stay on the music while guests enjoy the surroundings and settle into an evening that feels relaxed and personal.

Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets, and small coolers are allowed. Black Tooth Brewing will also be on site, giving attendees another way to enjoy the evening while listening to the performances.

General admission is $25 for guests ages 3 and older, while children age two and under are free. Pets are not permitted at the event.

Whether folk music is already part of your playlist or you're simply looking for something different to do this weekend, The Bloomery offers a chance to discover new music while supporting a local artist at the same time.

Sometimes a memorable night doesn't need to be complicated.

A good song, an open sky, a comfortable chair and a place to slow down can be enough.

The Riverside comes to The Bloomery this Saturday, September 5. Gates open at 6 PM, and the music begins at 7 PM with Olivia Wilson.
