Barnes & Noble to Open New Casper Location in Spring 2026

CASPER, Wyo. — A long-anticipated Barnes & Noble store is set to open in Casper early next year.

According to a company spokesperson, the new location will be situated in the expanding Blackmore Marketplace Shopping Center on Casper’s east side and is expected to open in April 2026.

The store will span over 13,000 square feet, featuring the company's latest architectural design, and will offer a curated selection of books, toys, games, gifts, and vinyl records.

This will be the second Barnes & Noble location in Wyoming, with the other store located in Cheyenne.

Earlier this year, retailers Five Below and Burlington Stores were confirmed as future tenants in the new development on Newport Road.

Additionally, Dick’s Sporting Goods is listed on city documents for a 50,000-square-foot building at 651 Newport.

Colorado-based developer Flower & Stone has been actively attracting new retailers to the Casper market since acquiring Blackmore Marketplace in 2016.

In a 2019 interview, developer Karen Blumenstein expressed confidence in Casper's market for growth and investment.

Construction crews are currently preparing the site for the expansion, with most new tenants expected to open by June 2026.
