On Wednesday, September 23, that nighttime energy will come to life during Mocktails & Moonlight, an evening market designed for people who enjoy finding something unexpected, meeting local creatives and spending a little time downtown after dark.

Taking place from 5 to 8 p.m. at The Wilted Daisy, 116½ E. 2nd Street, the event will bring together a mix of independent vendors and creative businesses for an evening that feels less like a traditional shopping trip and more like an experience.

Visitors can browse through handmade goods, vintage clothing, books and artwork, with some of the offerings leaning into the wonderfully unusual. Macabre art, tarot readings and flash tattoos add a darker, more playful edge to the market, creating a setting where curiosity is encouraged.

And then there are the mocktails.

Instead of rushing from one table to the next, guests can grab a drink, slow down and enjoy the atmosphere while discovering what local vendors have brought to the market. It is the kind of evening where a quick stop can easily turn into a few hours of browsing, chatting and finding something you did not know you were looking for.
