Craft Fair Draws Crowds to Ford Wyoming Center

The Ford Wyoming Center was bustling with excitement as the annual Community Recreation Foundation Craft Fair ushered in the start of the holiday season in Casper.

 

Recognized as the largest craft fair in Wyoming, the event showcased more than 200 vendor booths, drawing creators and shoppers from across the state and beyond. Attendees explored a wide variety of handcrafted items, including pottery, woodwork, textiles, paintings, home décor, baked goods, and Christmas ornaments — offering unique gift options for all ages.

 

The event is more than a holiday shopping destination. Proceeds from vendor booth fees and raffles directly support scholarships for youth and seniors, helping ensure access to recreational programs at local facilities such as the recreation centers, ice arena, aquatic center, and outdoor pools. These scholarships assist residents who may not otherwise be able to afford memberships, class fees, or activity costs.

 

The craft fair also highlights the diverse talent within the community. Many participants are hobbyists who create for the joy of it, while others travel from out of town or out of state to share their work. The mix of local and visiting artisans contributes to a vibrant atmosphere and a wide range of goods not found in typical retail stores.
