There are some places in Casper that feel like more than a destination. Over time, they become part of the community’s rhythm,  places where people gather, celebrate, listen to music, meet friends and make memories together.

This week, David Street Station is creating a more intimate version of that experience with its Celebrate Community Dinner, bringing a limited group of guests together for an evening centered around connection, conversation and appreciation for the community.

The evening begins with a champagne welcome on the overlook, giving guests a chance to enjoy the atmosphere and views before settling in for dinner. The main meal will feature a plated five-course dinner with wine pairings, with dinner service beginning at 7 p.m.

Music will add to the atmosphere throughout the evening, with Casper-based saxophonist Adam Tese providing live entertainment. Guests will also hear stories from members of the David Street Station family, offering a chance to reflect on the gathering place, what it has meant to Casper and what may be ahead.

With only 100 tickets available, the dinner is designed to feel considerably different from the large public events that typically fill the station. Instead of a crowd gathered for a concert or festival, guests will share a table, a meal and an evening dedicated to the simple idea of celebrating community.

It is a fitting concept for a place built around bringing people together.

David Street Station has become one of Casper’s familiar downtown gathering spaces, welcoming residents and visitors for concerts, festivals, markets, seasonal celebrations and countless everyday moments. For one evening, the lights will set the scene for a quieter celebration, one focused on the people who make Casper a community.

The Celebrate Community Dinner takes place Thursday, September 10, from 6 to 9 p.m. at David Street Station, 200 S. David St. The evening includes the champagne welcome, five-course dinner with wine pairings, live music and community storytelling. Attire is polished casual, and tickets are $100 per person.

Sometimes celebrating a community doesn't require a stage or a festival.

Sometimes it simply means gathering around a table, sharing a good meal and taking a moment to appreciate the place we call home.
