Fostering Dialogue and Civic Participation Among Students |
Casper, WY — September 2025 — Casper College students now have a new outlet for civic engagement with the launch of a Turning Point USA (TPUSA) chapter on campus. The student-led group is dedicated to promoting conservative principles such as individual freedoms, free markets, and limited government. The new chapter, under the guidance of faculty advisor Brandi Atnip, will host general meetings, guest speakers, and community service projects designed to foster respectful dialogue and active citizenship.
The Casper College chapter joins a broader network of TPUSA organizations across Wyoming, including an active presence at the University of Wyoming. These groups have become increasingly visible in campus conversations, student government, and community outreach. Nationally, TPUSA is experiencing a surge of growth. Following the assassination of founder Charlie Kirk on Sept. 10, 2025, the organization reports receiving over 60,000 new inquiries about starting chapters at colleges and high schools across the United States. This surge underscores the growing enthusiasm among students for conservative activism. Casper College’s new chapter aims to provide students with a place to build connections, engage in civic life, and contribute to the wider political dialogue shaping Wyoming and the nation. |
