A Midweek Moment of Movement at David Street Station

You don't have to wait for the weekend to do something that makes you feel good.

Monday has come and gone, the weekend is still a few days away, and the usual rhythm of work, errands, and responsibilities has settled in. But for those looking for a reason to get moving and start the day differently, Wednesday morning offers a simple opportunity to reset.

At David Street Station, Wellness Wednesdays brings the Casper community together for free outdoor group fitness every Wednesday morning.

From 6:00 to 6:45 AM, people can gather in the heart of downtown for 45 minutes of movement, fresh air, and community. The 2026 Wellness Wednesday season runs from June 3 through August 26, giving Casper residents plenty of opportunities to make movement part of their weekly routine.

The idea is simple. Show up, get moving, and start the day with a little more energy.

Wellness Wednesdays is not centered around one particular type of workout. Instead, the sessions offer a variety of group fitness activities, giving participants the chance to experience different ways of moving and staying active. Whether you already have a regular fitness routine or are simply looking for a reason to become more active, the sessions offer an approachable way to get started.

And perhaps one of the best parts is that you do not have to do it alone.

There is something different about exercising alongside other people. A morning workout can feel easier when you are surrounded by others who have also decided to get out of bed, head downtown, and make time for themselves. The shared experience creates a sense of encouragement without requiring anyone to compete.

For some, Wellness Wednesdays may become part of a regular weekly routine. For others, it might be the first step toward becoming more active. Someone may arrive already familiar with group fitness, while another person may simply be curious about trying it for the first time.

Everyone gets to find their own pace.

The setting also gives the experience a distinctly Casper feel.

David Street Station is often associated with concerts, festivals, markets, and other community gatherings. On Wednesday mornings, however, the familiar downtown space takes on a different energy. The crowds are smaller, the day is just beginning, and the open space becomes a place for people to focus on movement and wellness.

There is something refreshing about starting the morning outside rather than inside a gym. The downtown surroundings provide a change of scenery, while the early morning atmosphere offers a quiet moment before the rest of the city fully wakes up.

Wellness Wednesdays is also designed to be accessible to the community. The sessions are free, making it easier for people to participate without having to commit to a membership or expensive fitness program.

Participants can bring an exercise mat and water. A sweat towel, sunscreen, and bug spray are also suggested as optional items for those who want a little extra preparation for an outdoor workout.

But perhaps the most important thing to bring is simply the willingness to show up.

You do not need to have everything figured out before you begin. You do not need to be the most experienced person in the group. You simply need to give yourself 45 minutes to move, breathe, and do something positive for yourself.

That is what makes Wellness Wednesdays more than just another fitness opportunity.

It is a small weekly reminder that wellness can be part of community life. It can happen outdoors, downtown, alongside neighbors and friends, before the workday begins. It can be something as simple as putting down a mat and deciding that your Wednesday morning will start a little differently.

And perhaps that is exactly what the middle of the week needs.

A moment to pause.

A moment to move.

A moment to find your flow.

So before Wednesday morning arrives, set the alarm a little earlier, grab your mat and water, and head toward David Street Station.

Your week is already moving. Why not move with it?
