Casper Airport Asks the Community to Step Up and Support Federal Employees During Shutdown
As the government shutdown continues, local federal workers are feeling the strain — and the Casper/Natrona County International Airport (C/NCIA) is asking Casper residents to step up and help. The airport has launched a Supply Drive to support TSA officers, air traffic controllers, and other essential federal employees who continue working without pay.
Residents are encouraged to bring non-perishable goods, pet supplies, diapers, and toiletries to the airport terminal building, where a collection wagon has been set up for donations. The drive aims to provide direct relief to those who keep the airport running and ensure safe travel for everyone passing through Casper.
“Even during tough times, our TSA and tower staff continue to serve the public with professionalism and dedication,” airport officials said. “This is our community’s opportunity to show them the same support they give travelers every day.”
All items not utilized during the shutdown will be donated to the Food Bank of Wyoming to continue helping families across the state once normal operations resume.
How to Help
This effort serves as a reminder of the strong community spirit that defines Casper — where neighbors rally together when it matters most. |
